I was able to perform asynchronous processing in SQL Server using ADO.Net 2.0. I was trying to use the concept in one of my projects that used Microsoft Access. Thanks in advance for your help. thanks,

  • Yes, this is true, the feature is absent from the ADO.NET OLEDB library. I'm not sure whether there is a suitable alternative. You can start a query on a new thread but that wouldn't provide the option of canceling a query in progress, if that is what you are looking to do. Plus you will probably have to write some code to keep track of or synchronize active threads.
