"Discovery in Progress" not ending

Question

I set up the Azure migration appliance to finally migrate physical machines (in real KVM virtual machines), but azure keeps telling me "discovery in progress". How can I troubleshoot the issue? Are there some useful Logs or something. How can I check what my appliance is actually doing/trying?

Yes I did. Maybe relevant. I skipped the the assessment phase. Now trying to set up the assessment appliance the web setup hangs at "verifying internet connection". Its just not proceed to the next step. However the VM is not firewalled or HTTP proxied at all. What am I missing?
