"M Compiler Visual studio Integration cannot be installed ..." RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anyone know why the OsloSDKJan2009CTP.msi installer displays this message:

"M Compiler Visual studio Integration cannot be installed because Visual Studio 2008 or higher is not installed."

The test machine I am using has Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition with SP1 installed.

Does OSLO only work on certain editions of Visual Studio? If so, shouldn't the error message explicitly say this?

The funny thing is, when I click OK when the above message appear, the installation progress, and completes successfully.
When I open Visual Studio 2008 and try to create new project, I see a new folder for "OSLO" project templates and this includes one template,
for an M project. There is no project template for a MGrammar project.
