permission for directories in web hosting RRS feed

    hi friends

    i uploaded my website on web hosting

    i have "Documents" folder in my project

    "Documents" folder have 2 subfolder 1- "Projects" 2- "ImgCatch"

    i need give permission for this folders than my website can be modify on this folders but my website users not able to browse and see this folders

    but i need give download link from "Projects" folder for users but user should not can see this directory for example when user type this link : www.mywebsite.com/Documents/Projects

    he can see subfilders on "Projects" folder

    at last my purpose is user can download file but should not can browse directory, and my project must can to modify this directory "create folder , delete folder and files,..."

    Disable directory browsing if you don't want the files listed, it should be disabled anyway.  Then just set the permissions as needed.  This is more a question for your hosting provider rather than us, it's not an asp.net question and we don't know how you config your hosting.

    Ask the web host that you're paying money to.  If you can't disable directory browsing, place an empty aspx page in the directory called Default.aspx, so when people browse that folder they'll get your default.aspx file rather than the directory listing.
