Cannot find type System.ComponentModel.TypeConverter in module System.dll

    Question

  • Friends!

    Another day - struggeling still with my app. No wonder why some fall off or sticks to blogging?!?

    Anyway. I have an issue where I dont understand and are unable to fix what has occured.

    I am writing a universal app - where I am also working on a MVC site for this app. But as I am learning stuff on localization;

    I play with this article -  http://afana.me/post/ASPNET-MVC-5-Internationalization-c2b7-How-to-Store-Strings-in-a-Database-or-Xml.aspx

    Where I rightclick my Resource Library Project, to ad a nuget Package as described - Install-Package i18n.ResourceProvider. But to my misfortune - this package is installed onto my Universal-Project - to the Windows app solution - Not my Resource Library

    And now - after removing package again - I get this as a BUILD ERROR to my solution - directed to my Universal.Windows project;

    Error 5 Cannot find type System.ComponentModel.TypeConverter in module System.dll. AppName.Windows

    How do I fix my issue? Please anyone - give me some pointers here....

    Thanks!

    Regards, Kato.

  • Hi,

    Under references I had one module added that was not removed as i18n.ResourceProvider was removed bye NuGet - System.Something. After deleting that - project is back on and builds:)
