GIT Reset --Hard

  • If there is a better forum to ask this, please tell me what options to choose from the confusing options on the top of this page.

I was working on my Azure VM, and I tried to do a Sync but it kept saying there were changes even though I had undone all my changes, so I went to a GIT Reset --hard; I meant to run this on my VM, but I accidently ran it on my local dev machine.

I had just checked in code, so I am hoping I didn't lose anything. Is that the case?

  • What Git are you using?

I had that misadventure before (not just once...) and I could Clone the repository back to a previous Commit.
