Email report no longer works (O365 subscription) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently (presumably after a recent Update) the Email command from the Data group on the standard report command ribbon causes Access to hang (unresponsive). I've tried as PDF and as RTF. The export to PDF command still works so is a manual work around.

Has anyone else noticed this or reported it as a bug?

    Office version 1802(Build 9029.2167 Click-to-run) 32 bit on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

    Thanks

Answers

  • Thanks for the replies. Bizarrely the problem seems to have cured itself today. It had been present for several days but I've just tested from Access Excel and Word and emailing works as expected.

Will wait a few days just in case before closing thread.

    Edit:

I think the problem was Outlook related rather than Access but it has disappeared now.

  • Try reverting your build to a prior, more stable, version.

Have you tried performing an Office Repair?

Does this happen with one database or all databases?

  • It's with all databases including a new one.

I was hoping that someone or MSFT could confirm whether this has been reported or is reproducible before repairing or reverting office.

The work around isn't an immediate problem.

    Thanks

  • Also it appears to be not just reports but the email command in general.

  • Hi Jon,

This is not a known issue, and we have not seen other reports of this issue with version 1802.

Do other applications work to send mail?  For example, can you send a document from Word as an email attachment using File/Share/PDF?

    Thanks,
