What about Geo-Coding in V7 ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Geo-coding seems to be absent in V7.   Is this something we can expect to be added in the near future ?

  • No - you should use the Bing Maps REST geocoding service instead. For example, if you want to get latitude and longitude values for the address “100 Main St. Somewhere, WA 98001”, use the following unstructured URL:

    http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations?CountryRegion=US&adminDistrict=WA&locality=Somewhere&postalCode=98001&addressLine=100 Main St.&key=BingMapsKey
