How to render a bitmap?

    Question

  • Hello,

I'm creating a DirectX Universal App. How could I render a bitmap on a swapchain panel? Currently I didn't change on the default code.

    Thanks!

  • The DXTK has sprite capabilities. I would recommend that you leverage the built in sprite APIs for rendering your bitmap. Sprites can then be manipulated in 3d space via matrix transforms.

Take a look at the example on the DXTK page you linked to. Look at the "loading a texture" section of the page.

    I hope this helps,

  • Hello,

Are you asking how to display a bitmap in XAML or how to render a texture to a quad in Direct3D?

  • Hello,

I want to render or display it somehow and then be able to move, rotate, etc. it. I was trying to render it using DirectX Tool Kit (Directx tool kit).

    Thanks!
