Azure Storage CloudTable CreateIfNotExistsAsync Exception "One of the request inputs is out of range." With Storage Emulator


  • I'm following the article to experiment with Azure Table Storage:

    The code can be found here and is relatively simple:

    The only thing I'm doing different from the article is initializing the CloudStorageAccount directly with hardcoded values (rather than using "appSettings".

    I keep getting the exception "One of the request inputs is out of range.", with no additional information.

    The emulator is running like so:

    This error is typically observed whenever there is a mismatch in the naming conventions of Storage services including the Storage account name. Please see the table below for brief naming conventions and do refer the Azure Storage Naming Rules guide for more details.
