Hello, The SEO optimization toolkit says I have multiple canonical formats on my homepage at: literacysoft.com literacysoft.com/index.html all my links use "/" for the homepage. None of them use index.html I could use robots.txt to disallow indexing index.html but this sounds very very wrong to me. What should I do?

Actually there is one place, the easiest way to discover exactly the issue is by:

    1. Click in Violations Summary
    2. Double-click the "The page contains multiple canonical formats"
    3. Select the entry in the list that is http://literacysoft.com/index.html .
    4. Click the "Links" tab
    5. You will see the "Pages linking to this Page" list at the top, and you will see what the URL is actually linking to this one.
    6. In fact double click-the entry (/primer/index.html) and in the dialog shown click the "Content" and you will see the exact HTML that is actually linking to the index.html:

     <a href="../index.html">Home</a>

    Hope this helps.
