Add totals to gridview footer RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I add totals to a Gridview footer in Expression Web.

I have found an example or 2 using ASP.NET, but I have not figured how I access the rowdatabound event.

  • You access the rowdatabound event by writing the appropriate code.  :)  Easiest is to use a tool intended to support asp.net event coding, such as Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer.  But you can write it out yourself and put it in a script section at the top of the page in EW, too.

An example of coding something for a GridView's rowdatabound event and putting it in a <script> section at the top of an asp.net page, can be seen at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.gridview.rowdatabound.aspx

More details on what you are trying to do would best be asked on the asp.net forum. http://forums.asp.net/
