Unable to drag & drop calendar items in Outlook 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am not able to drag and drop calendar items within the same calendar in my microsoft outlook 2003

    I have tried

    • regsvr32.exe ole32.dll
    • reseting views
    • detect and repair

    all do not work

at the same time i can't double click a calendar item to edit.

i can however enter new calendar items.

This occurs at the same time when I can't select texts / paragraphs via highlighting in any webpage.  Therefore, can't cut / copy any texts or objects.

Not sure if its related.  Pls help.

  • Hi Optimus,

Thanks for posting in the MSDN Forum.

Microsoft Outlook has a calendar program that runs on the same files and folders as the Outlook email program. When tasks or files do not work, it is typically a sign of a broken or corrupt file or folder. If you cannot drag and drop your appointments that you have created in your Outlook calendar, there may be a corrupt file in the personal file folders. To fix the problem, you need to scan for broken files and repair them.

    Have a good day,

    Tom

  • Hi Tom

    Thanks for reply

May I know how do I scan for broken files + repair them ?

I have tried regsvr32.exe ole32.dll many times.  It worked only for 1 drag and drop, then failed.  subsequent tries failed.

    Kindly advise

    Thanks
