Kinect Fusion - Organized point cloud RRS feed

    I used the Kinect Fusion Explorer example of the tutorial to generate a .obj file with the points. That works fine.

    Now I want to use the point cloud for some plane detection. The point cloud is unorganized at the moment. Just a list with all the points (x1, y1, z1; x2, y2, z2, ... xn, yn, zn). For my case it would be better to have lets say a 3D Grid where I now which points (x,y,z) belong to which boxes. Is there a nice way to get that information. Otherwise I have to implement it, and i think because of the high number of points it's not really easy to make it efficient.
