  • I work for an organization that has at least thousands of records that relate to customers. Four different departments have a relationship with this customer information in one form or the other. Two of these departments work on transactional basis while the other two work on customer basis.

    The ones who work on customer basis use MS Excel while the other two use CRM Dynamics and GP (Both Microsoft products). At this point, we end up with duplication of customer data, multiple letters and documents sent to them, queries from customers being misdirected etc. Typical organizational issues related to data mismanagement.

    I am not sure if Master Data Management is required.

    Can anyone help me distinguish whether MDM is required and how it should be done?
