Word 2010 machine-level installation not working RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

I have created a custom setup for installing add-in for Word 2010 at machine-level. That is, add-in will be installed by Administrator and will be available to all the users on the computer.

I have tested the installation on Windows 7 64-bit machine and the files are successfully installed to the program files. I checked the path in the registry 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\[CompanyName].[AddInName]' and the entry for add-in is present with LoadBehavior 3. But the add-in is not loaded after opening Word application. I checked the registry entry LoadBehavior but strangely the value is still 3. I have added the environment variable VSTO_SUPPRESSDISPLAYALERTS with value '0'. But it did not work.

I am unable to find the cause of issue. Can anyone please help me where I did wrong?

    Thanks in Advance,
