how to display file name instead of icon on the attatchment field RRS feed

  • Hello!

    I made attatchment field with microsoft access 2010

    but I can't display the file name

    I just can see the icon of file

    could you help me how to display the attatchment file name on the attatchment field

  • Well that's because it's an attachment data type. It's not going to display anything except an attachment.

  • Hi. To display the filename, you might try using a subform with a record source of the attachment field's Value field and display the Filename property. Just a thought...

    Edit: Just for fun, I tried it out and the result is shown below.

    That's slick! I had written a function to return the list of file names as a string, for display in a text box, but this is much neater.
