    The error 0X8E5E03FA means Illegal operation attemped on a registry key that has been marked for delection. To know which key is related to your issue, please follow pvdg42's answer to collect .NET Setup logs for us.

    Or we need to use process monitor https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb896645.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 to analyze the registry modfiy problem.

    To fix this issue, if the key is previous registered by some old .NET Framework version, please repair your old .NET Framework from control panel or use this tool:

    If the key is actually related to .NET Framework 4.5.2, you may need to redownload your package to repair the key.

    After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like OneDrive, and post the link here.

    Also, what is your Windows version?

  • Hi guys I hope you can help me. I have the same problem and I have put everything in this post that I could find. For some extra detail: My laptop broke down due to a failure in my power input. When I got my laptop back it was fully wiped but I still have a back-up folder on my pc. It could be due to the back up folder, but I still have no idea what it could be at this moment.
