BingMapsRESTToolkit Sample Project Fails Build RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm very new to Bing Maps and I came across the BingMapsRESTToolkit on Github and I downloaded the sample project and I get  errors on the same line when trying to run it. The line is in the RouteRequest.cs file on this line:

return GetRequestUrl(0, out int endIdx); and error says:

the errors: Invalid expression  term 'int'

     syntax error ',' expected

The name 'endIdx' does not exist in the current context.

Could you please help me to resolve these errors.

  • Hi Chasing_D,

I did the following steps and did not get your error.

    1. clone the BingMapsRESTToolkit into the <youraccount>/repos on your dev machine

    2. open the csproj file to open the full project in Visual Studio 2017

    3. resolve any collisions, for example it wanted .Net 4.6.2 so shut down VS and added that support using the VS installer.

    4. Build Solution.

    Result: Build: 1 succeeded, 0 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped.
