Excel 2016 throws com exception when attempting to convert previous version of powerpivot workbook RRS feed

  • Question

  • When attempting to open a workbook containing powerpivot model I am prompted to do a conversion. On clicking OK it throws a com exception. The PowerPivot model workbook will open in Excel 2010 and 2013.

  • What code exactly do you have? What line of code fires the exception?

According to your description, I have created one workbook containing powerpivot model then opened it in Excel 2016, unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this issue.

If possible, please upload your complete workbook with the data, pivot tables, code in it. That will help us reproduce and resolve your issue.
