Visual Studio Isolated Mode - Licencing Question RRS feed

  • Question

  • We currently consider developing an application for our customers to generate custom domain items. We want to use Visual Studio Shell with Modeling Tools as a hosting environment to generate code.

Could we deploy the shell (with our customization) to customers without a valid Visual Studio 2010 license? Is it necessary to license "shell usage" in such a case?

  • Unfortunately, we are not permitted to comment or assist with interpreting the EULA and licensing agreements around these components. My advice would be to consult with your own legal team to review the EULA and license.
