application/form effects - I need help RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,
I have been developing in C# for half a year now, and I would like to add new knowledge to what I know so far.
I would like to develop some effects in my application just as a practice, but I am not sure where to start looking.

Here is a list of effects I like to add to a simple application.
Currently, I have an empty form with a strip menu that contains a "File -> Exit" option only.
Instead of this menu stip, I would like to replace that with a tab where when I hover over with the mouse, I will get a menu that "slides" (?) such as the auto hide option we get in a lot of applications.. including the VS2005.

What should I be looking into?

    Hi v3ks,

Based on your post, you want a side tab like Visual Studio Toolbox, don’t you? If so, you need to create your own UserControl and handle the MouseEnter , MouseHover and the MouseLeave event for this control. Check the following page for a sample

    Hope this helps.
    Best regards.
