I have a form with a Sub continuous form for items in an order with a combo box for operation/sub operations that doesn't work in the main form. RRS feed

  • Ok so I will try to explain a little better.

I have an Order Form.  The top piece of the form as general information about the customer and then I have a Sub Form for work items that need to be done. The sub form is a continuous form as customers will drop off more than one item to be worked on at a time.

When I open the Sub Operations form and used the combo boxes they work as expected. Select the Operation and it filters the Sub Operations that are related.  However, when I open up the Work Form and try to use the combo boxes Access keeps asking for the parameter for the Operations before it will filter the data for the Sub Operations.  Below in the first image is the Sub Form open by itself where the combo box is working exactly like it is supposed to.

Below is where I am getting the error when the subform is attached to the work order.  I am stumped  on how to fix this. If any one has a suggestion that would be great. Thank you.
