Multiple beams in Kinect with C++ implementation RRS feed

  • Question

  • After reading this blog and some other posted comments, I am facing the following challenge:

I want to have multiple beams simultaneously. I have figured out how to do that (in theory): i.e. set a DMO in filter mode and two or more DMOs that consume the data (after beamforming them). However, I am not quite sure that I can do it without the topology scheme.

Making it short: How can I implement multiple DMOs that have input and output buffers and either record or consume the data?

    Thank you for time

  • I will check on that for you.

  • I would say that my main problem is the initialization of the DMOs. When I create two DMOs, one in source mode and one in filter mode, then the first one can't capture any audio from the Kinect. Also, I have noticed that I can't ask the first DMO to simply pass the 4 channels to the output buffer without any processing , i.e. beamforming.

    Thank you for your help
