Is it possible to show more than 4 rows in the Summary line of the Gantt Chart? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a tasks similar to the attached pictures.
I need to show all the  milestone on the summary line with some formatting in the summary line.Like if its overdue then a red line from the current date indicates that a its a overdue task. This is done with the help of Bar Styles. But in Bar Styles there is a limitation of having only 4 rows, I have 6 or 7 milestones. Is there any other better way to show the all the six milestones in the summary line with this bar style?

  • Hi,

As far as I know, there is no way to increase the number of rows in the Gantt chart more than 4. A workaround could be to split the summary task into several sub-summary tasks.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi,

I cannot access the screenshots (blocked by my firewall) but indeed with the bar style, you are limited to 4 rows.

A workaround could be to edit the table definition (table, more table, edit) and set the row height to 6 or 7, where you do not have any limitations.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi Guillaume Rouyre,

Increasing size is Ok...but any workaround to add show more than 4 rows in a summary line.

    Check whether this works.

  • Thanks for the reply,
I did some workaround to show 2 rows with overdue milestones rolled up in a single summary line.

So the 1st row is all rolled up milestones and the 2nd row with the overdue milestones. This is fine now.But if different milestones have same dates then the text are overlapping.Anyway to avoid overlapping of text of rolled up milestones.
