OAuth V2.0 Login with Username Bug RRS feed

  • I have noticed that when you perform login using an office tenant and you input username instead of email address in the login screen, some usernames go through and some do not. For the usernames that go through, after they login they are prompted with an error of tried to login too many times. But it is only the first attempt. I tried to login to SharePoint online using the same method, login with username. That too was met with the same error. Does anyone know why this happens or why the error message seems to be confusing?
