Can you help with a Windows 10 install fail question?

Question

I have a Lenovo 300 N100-Model Name 0768 laptop.

I started the upgrade and after it said it was installing the upgrade.

The machine came back with his message.

"error: no such partition.

Entering rescue mode...

grub rescue> _"

That is all I get now on my machine. The last I saw the upgrade was up to 6%. I walk away and the machine had that message. Can you help.

From the presence of the grub rescue prompt it appears that your machine also had a Linux distribution installed along with a prior version of Windows from which you tried to update to Win 10.  I suggest you address this issue to the support forums related to the Linux distro that was installed.  You might get a better response in connection with issues related to grub, dual booting and problems experienced with dual boot systems in the upgrade process
