Why Can't I Copy Data from Azure Storage Back to My Computer?

    Question

  • This may show how stupid I am. If so, so be it. I have been using Cloudberry for Azure and a second similar product for several weeks to copy backup files from another data center to Azure Storage.  Earlier today, I tried dragging and dropping one of the backed up files (a .zip file) from my Azure Storage account to a folder on a local hard drive at home.  I am not allowed to do this and the drag/drop action results in the international symbol for "can't be done.  I tried a second Azure Explorer tools that I have installed and it had the exact same results.

Why can I not copy data FROM Azure TO a local hard drive?

Thanks in advance for any insight into this issue. If this is the way it is intended to operate, then why would I ever use Azure Storage for anything?
