    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  • This doesn't look like a .NET FW issue. The call; stack shows that something in SIS.SISLog.startLog() is causing an ArgumentException. Is this your code? It's being called from the load event of your form, clearly.

  • Thank you for Phil's kindly help.

    Hi Comlink33,

    Thank you for your post.

    I agree with Phil. It seems that the error occurred when SIS.exe tried to "open Log File in temp directory" in SIS.SISLog.startLog() of this application.

    Based on the stack, it looks as if it is caused Argument Exception. This kind of exception will be thrown when one of the arguments provided to a method is not valid.
    For more information, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.argumentexception.aspx.

    I'm not quite familiar with this application. However, I hope that I can help you on this issue.
    Please check whether the account that you log on has sufficient privilege to read/write files in %temp% folder. I would suggest you to install and run the application via Administrator account to have a try.

    BTW, this forum is for the support of .NET Framework installation. Since your issue is related to Winform application, you could post your thread on Windows Forms General forum. You will get more useful help there. This will make answer searching in the forum easier and be beneficial to other community members as well.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Hope this helps. If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
