Can I implement authentication/autherization in AS2 request/response when message is proceesed in Biztalk Server 2006 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am stuck and need your help.Scenario is :
I am using  AS2 based request/ response to process message on BizTalk server 2006 R2. As per our business requirement we have to implement two-factor authentication/authorization. One is through client certification and second from windows authentication using AD. Is it feasible to use windows authentication, if anyone have any idea please guide me. I have already gone through several url and blogs but unable to find any solution.
I had suggested my client to implement second authentication with digital signature but they are not agree they like to use windows authentication only.

  • AS2 based transactions are done over HTTP. You can implement windows based authentication in IIS server.

  • Thank you Bhola,

Can we configured IIS on different computer to handle AS2 messeges in Biztalk server? is any component/plug in is required.
In fact we are using reverse proxy(ISA) in DMZ to rout the message and IIS configured in the internal network with Biztalk server. we like to implement windows authentication in DMZ not in internal network.

    Regards
