Show-WindowsDeveloperLicenseRegistration : A quota was exceeded. RRS feed

  • I got the message that my developer license was not valid anymore on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. With the powershell cmdlet Show-WindowsDeveloperLicenseRegistration I should be able to renew it, but unfortunately I got the following message 'Show-WindowsDeveloperLicenseRegistration : A quota was exceeded.'

    Restarting the machine, or uninstall existing license did not help. What to do?

  • The only 'solution' I could find was to re-install Windows8CP. Now it works again.

  • Even after Windows Update or use a different account does not help. Event viewer is giving me the following event:
