Is there a way to exclude files from being clustered? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have several 3rd party javascripts on my site (like google analytics, powerreviews etc) -- These are dynamic and can not be hardcoded into the doloto clusters. Is there a simple way to ignore these types of files? I don't want to have to remove all 3rd party code every time I want to profile the site.

  • You can use the "Copy command to clipboard" function in the Wizard 3/3. If you click that and copy the command in your command prompt, then add "--filter" parameter at the end, with a parameter including the keywords in your Javascript files you wanna cluster.

e.g. If your site is http://foo.com where all the js you wanna cluster come from http://foo.com/js/; While external js do not come from http://foo.com.

you can use the --filter parameter in the command prompt like following:

    <Doloto installation path>\StaticDoloto.exe --update-html-references True -c C:\DolotoOutput\stats_<my site>\clusters_1638887.txt -o C:\DolotoOutput\stats_<my site>\Rewritten\1638887 -u http://foo.com/js/ -r True -s True -mg False -m 100 --filter "foo.com"

Seems current Doloto UI will not give u filter option. But you can use command line for advance usage. :)
