Problem to add printer with custom postscript printer driver compiled for Windows 8.1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have custom postscript driver that works fine on Windows versions before 8.0 and 8.1

We built it with WINDDK 6001.18001. by Visual Studio 10

    Of cause we used msbulid.

Now I adopted the project to Visual Studio 13 with WDK 8.1

(I just took OEM Printer Customization Plug-in Samples\C++\oemui sample project and replace files)

The problem is that when I try to add printer using our dll, I get the error message

"Unable to install printer Double check the printer name and make sure that the printer is connected to the network"

If I compile the same project for Windows 7 environment and try it on windows 7, it works fine.

Please help - what changes I need to do in code to adopt it for windows 8.1.

    Thank you.

    Eli.
