24 GB flash/SSD used for pagefile is missing after win 10 upgrade RRS feed

  • Question

  • Sorry folks but there isn't a more proper forum category (like Windows upgrade, or Windows 10).

My Asus S550C touch laptop used to use an internal 24 GB SSD/flash drive for pagefile with a drive letter -- at least it is how it was when the system originally arrived with Windows 8 loaded and remained the same after Win 8.1 upgrade.

After Windows 10 upgrade, the drive letter for SSD/flash drive disappeared even though the storage device shows in diskmgmt (but not available to name or assign a drive letter) and my pagefile is moved to the primary hard drive by Win10 automatic upgrade, which makes this laptop extremely slow now.

I want my SSD back with its drive letter and need Microsoft to get back to me. The pagefile needs to go back onto my SSD.

P.S. The Win10 upgrade I'm talking about is the RTW release, not the test versions.  I have never installed the test version on this machine.
