Facebook post sharing to fb group in wm 8.1 not possible?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Recently I bought Lumia 830 & discovering windows mobile 8.1 features.
I realized, post or photo sharing option is not available in Facebook version 8.3.6.0 for Windows mobile 8.1 (SP2).
    This is surprising.

Any developers working on this issue?
Where can I submit/raise ticket for this feature issue?

    Regards,
    Amey.

  • Hi Amey,

If you start from the photo Application on the Windows Phone then click share, facebook should be one of the options along with Twitter, messaging and email.  If you are not already signed in, you will be prompted to give your facebook credentials.

Note that this forum is for questions regarding creating applications for Windows Mobile. For questions specific to an application, you are best to check on the company web site or store link where you downloaded the app.  In this case the facebook forums would be a great option.

  • Hi Amey,

"Log in to facebook app" means you are using the facebook App made by facebook, not Microsoft so you need to ask facebook about their app.  You are asking on a Microsoft forum and Microsoft does not create that application, Facebook does.  They should be able to answer your question at the facebook link I provided in my previous answer.

Hope that clarifies my answer.  Please ask facebook your question.

    Sincerely,

  • Hi Amey

I assume, your using this Facebook app (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/facebook/9wzdncrfhv5g)

If this is the case, then there is a place to suggest new features for Windows Phone at https://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions

     Thanks for the update IoTGirl.
I know that way. I am facing other issue.

    Pls try to evaluate following:-

     - Log in to facebook app in your windows 8.1 mobile
    - Now click on 'share' icon below any post that you want to share on fb itself
    - Try to find option to share that post to 'facebook group' & not to your friends.
    - 'That' feature is missing.

I hope you got my point. :-)

    Thanks & Regards,
    Amey.
