HCK test blue sceen on Device Capabilites Test RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to test an NVMe drive on a Windows Server 2012 R2 system.  When I run the NVMe Device Capabilities Test, the test starts by installing the SHIM and the stornmve driver on the client.  After that it reboots the client system.  The client system goes blue screen because of the driver.  If I disconnect the drive under test, then the system boots up again.  I figured that the driver that the HCK test wants to use is not compatible with my drive or Win Server 2012 R2, so I went ahead and replaced the driver in the HCK server directory with the one from my test system.  This means that the driver HCK will install is the one my drive seems to be compatible with.  This seems to take care of the blue screen.  However, now the test fails saying that the drive does not have the correct capabilities, which I know it does ( I shows up on the analyzer).  So, it seems that the test is not compatible with the driver I forced it to use.  How can I fix this issue?
