  • You can try SQL Server Upgrade Assistant (SSUA) before the upgrade from SQL Server 2005 to 2008. This tool guides you through the steps to setup and obtain baseline data on an instance of SQL Server 2005, upgrade the database to SQL Server 2008 and obtain the same data to identify differences. Upgrade Assistant compares the trace results and identifies areas where the workload replayed different on SQL Server 2008 from SQL Server 2005. Download from:www.scalabilityexperts.com/ssua
