Exchange 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our organisation needs to migrate from Lotus Notes and Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. We need to use the same suffix on all mail systems.

Currently the Windows 2003 system is authoritive for the domain and there is a LN connector between the Exchange 2003 and LN environment.

During the migration to Exchange 2007 we designed the environment like this:

All incomming mail goes to the Exchange 2007 environment. We us a smart host between the exchange 2007 and 2003 environment. ( both systems are in a different windows domain). And we keep the connector between LN and Exchange 2003.

This way an email from external will first go to the exchange 2007 server. When the user is not found it will be forwarderd to the exchange 2003 and because the 2003 environment has all the contacts from Lotus Notes it knows were to send the email to or to send a NDR.

The question that we currently have is, how can we have one Global address list with all users from the tree environments so the user will send it to the correct environment.
