    I'm trying to track time that users use on individual tasks/projects.

    i have one list that stores task and one column has how much time users spend on that task.

    i want to automaticly, whenever someone works on a task, move that time and tasks name to another list where the time is tracked.

    I want to avoid having people logging there work on two places.

    any ideas ?

  • Update the master list when an item is updated in child list using Update listItem action in workflow on ChildList  through SharePoint designer. You just need to find the respective item in MasterList to be updated to put in filter criteria.
