Changing the column order in dispform / newform

Hey All,

I have a custom list in Sharepoint 2013 (Foundation) and I would like to change the layout / column order of the dispform, as I have changed the order for all the columns on the list but when I click into a single list item, the pop up window shows in the order I created the columns.

For instance, If i created the following columns:

Name

DOB

Address

Number

I can change the order that are shown when you first click in the list to Name / Address / DOB / Number but when I click into the list for single view I still get Name / DOB / Address / Number

Hi,

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to change the column order in dispform/newform.

I had tested with the above thread that you posted, it still applied to the SharePoint 2013 list.

You can check with the following steps.

List Settings->Advanced settings->select Yes in Allow management of content types->Ok.

In the Content Type, click Item->Column order->change the order of the column.

You can also recreate a new list, then check whether it worked, maybe the list had already corrupted.

Ah Pants, I went into "Site Settings - Site Content Type" not Content Type that was right under "Advanced Settings" Lol, Thank you very much :).
