How to create an ActiveX control (for pocket PC) using “Microsoft embedded visual C++ 3.0” RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I want to create an ActiveX control (for pocket PC) using “Microsoft embedded visual C++ 3.0” but I am getting errors while executing this application.

These are the steps I am following –

    1. I create a “WCE MFC ActiveX ControlWizard project.
    2. CPU’s selected are Win32(WCE ARM) and Win32(WCE MIPS).
    3. After completing, when I build the project I am getting this error – “The Platform Manager server is not available. You must exit EVC and restart it.
    4. As I am creating it for Pocket PC I have configured the platform manager as (Tools -> Configure Platform Manager)-

    Transport – Microsoft Active Sync

Start up server – Microsoft Active Sync

Can any one help me how to solve this issue?

Also I am new to Microsoft embedded visual C++ it will be great if any one help me with some links where I can get the example or steps of creating, modifying and testing the Active X control using this tool.

    Thanks and Regards
