  • Hmmm... I've worked a bit and found a source of my problem. The story is - I worked with Silverlight Toolkit library. When I tried to add it's project to my solution (project grabbed from OpenSource repository) and compile my project and this source, Marketplace told me "Xap procession failed". Otherwise, when I used already compiled library (downloaded and linked with NuGet) - nothing bad happend, submission went Ok.

I suppose I need to investigate Toolkit's project build parameters...

  • There are a couple of things that could trigger "XAP Processing Failed"...

    1.) Obfuscation

2.) Using certain capabilities that isn't permitted by your Dev Center account

3.) Submitting the "debug" XAP instead of "release" XAP

Additionally, you can always tell if this is a XAP or Dev Center issue by trying to upload different XAP. If you can't resolve your submission issue after checking the above, please submit a support request.

    Thanks

  • The same happened to me, I create another question with the header 'XAP Processing failed', at this moment there has been changes about subbmitting because today I cannot submit an updated, so I think they are checking the upload process.

  • I'm kind of hitting this as well, it takes all that time to upload the XAP file and finally it fails with

"We can't connect to the server at the moment.  Try again at a later time"

It always fails with this error

    Any help is appreciated

  • Hi Hibrise,

That's very likely a timeout issue. This has been discussed in other threads - the typical workaround is try at another time, or from behind another network with a quicker connection.

    Thanks

  • And what can you tell me about sending the same xap just changing the ad system? Because the previous Works (in the previous submmiting environment). Indeed I can watch the XAP with 7zip, so I think the XAP is not corrupt. I think is some parameter that might changed now. I am waiting to know a trace or hint because this is like compiling an App and VS tells you compilation error but there is no clue. And the error appears inmediatly.

  • Same problem experienced. And I have some thoughts for which some professional opinion is needed :)

    1) Original XAP package was built in 'Release mode'. But i'm not sure if all references used by this app are 'Release' too. Can be one of the references built in 'Debug' mode a source of troubles?
    2) None obfuscation performed, but I linked a dll created in VisualC++ to make my ApplicationTitle display in multiple languages (as described here). Can this cause problems?
    3) I noticed that Marketplace begun to show new capability needed by my app: ID_FNCTNL_SILVERLIGHT_FRAMEWORK. I don't know what is it because in previous version of Marketplace this capability hadn't been detected. Could it be a problem delivered with Marketplace updates?

    Thanks in advance for help!
