Windows Service start type RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a windows service ('A') and its startup type is Automatic(delayed). Now i am writing a new windows service ('B') which can actually control (start, stop or disable) the service ('A'). Inorder to do this, i changed the start type of windows service ('A') to Automatic(trigger start).

Now i want my windows service ('A') to be deployed in another machine where windows service ('B') is not available. If the startup type of 'A' is still Automatic(trigger start), will it work? automatically start when windows logs on? Please help.
