adding deep zoom to website does not display menu option when browsing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Created the project in deep zoom with menu options to select an item to zoom in on. Export the project and previewed it and the menu option displays along with the other options in the top left. Using Expressions 4 added the deep zoom project to the site in a div. Save it and when previewing it the options +-home fullscreen are at the bottom right (not top left) and there is no option for the pull down menu to select an item to view. What's with that?

Ideally it would be nice to have the pull down outside the project in the HTML and as selected it would zoom in on the selected item or just have a link to the item selected outside the project. I know it can be done but the help on the web I've looked at so far is a joke.

    thanks

  • As Bill noted, we need to be able to see the page in situ. Furthermore, few, if any, of us here use Deep Zoom. You might be better served asking on the Silverlight forum, or perhaps in the Blend forum. Our expertise here is focused on using Expression Web, HTML, and CSS. Implementing active technologies is not our forté, and even after seeing the page, there may be little we can contribute unless the issue is HTML-based.

  • Well, from all we can tell from the above, you've put the carburetor in backwards.

Read the first thread at the top: Forum FAQ and Guidelines - Start Here. It, among other things, explains why we need to see the problem in situ, with all the parts of the site on the web. How else could we possibly know what you've done wrong?

Come on back with a link and we'll take a look.

It's not the heat, it's the stupidity.
