Blinking Comment RRS feed

  • Question

  • When hovering over a cell that contains a comment, the comment blinks. How do I hover and have the comment stand still so that I can read the comment?

  • Hi,

    Till the time you hover your mouse on the cell where comment is it will appear still and you can read it.

    If you want to see the comment always you can ofcourse go to review tab and click on Show/Hide Comment toggle button and it will be visible always and also you can select it and edit it whatever you like.

    Let me know if this not something what you are looking for.

  • Hi Gary,

    For a program way, I suggest you try below code, you could go to vba editor, place this code in the worksheet you want to achieve this function.

    Private FRg As Range
    Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
        On Error Resume Next
        If (FRg Is Nothing) = False Then
           FRg.Comment.Visible = False
        End If
        Target.Comment.Visible = True
        Set FRg = Target
    End Sub

    Best Regards,

    Edward
