remote debugging assets not part of package

    Question

  • For around 2 months, I've been building a game targeted for ARM.  Now, with the Surface, I can actually test it on ARM, if only I could get my assets on it.

So far, instead of hand-including assets into the Visual Studio Solution Explorer, I've had a separate assets directory that I xcopy into the AppX directory during post-build.  This allows designers to freely add and remove resources as they experiment without having to learn Visual Studio.

Seems this doesn't work with remote debugging?  While I haven't tried building a store package yet, I'm betting I'm going to have the same problem.

I refuse to believe that everyone out there is hand-dropping assets via Visual Studio.  Would someone care to share?

    Thanks,
