time limit with Visio Demo version? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does the 60 day time limit of Visio demo version apply to the SDL threat modelling tool or will it continue working beyond this?

  • Hi SRichardson,

Unfortunately, after the Visio trial version expires, SDL Threat Modeling tool will stop working as well.

  • Hi,

Thats unfortunate. I am using SDL TM v3.1 at work and now start teaching in university and want to use/ intro the SDL TM Tool with students.

However there is no visio 2007 installed in the universitie's Lab.
So my current understanding is if I want to have a lab class with SDL TM v3.1 Tool, I only can use it with Visual 2007 Trial Version, meaning all the models will be "lost" after the 60 days.

I guess I also have a hard time to use the Trial Version again with new students in the next semester?

Are there any ideas/alternatives/options in my case?

    Thanks,
    Markus
