O365 Container - Delay on initial login RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have implemented O365 containers, and everything is working great.  Outlook cache, OneDrive, Teams, Search Indexes and Skype are running smoothly.

Here's the question:  On initial login, we notice that the user gets a Black login screen for like 1-2 minutes while it builds the .VHDX drive on the NAS share.  We can hit refresh, watching as it builds to a default of 196 MB, then the user gets a desktop.  We never see that odd behavior after that.  Is there anyways to prevent this, as some users get confused and try to logout/kill the session.

The only thing in the .VHDX is Search Indexes.

  • John,

I am currently experiencing the EXACT same issue while setting up a VMWare Horizon POC running windows 10 v1909 and FSLogix.  Not only do first time logons take 2-3 minutes while the .vhdx files are created, but it is not consistent for each new user.  Some users very first login with vhdx creation takes 27 seconds while others are 3 minutes.  Did you by any chance get this resolved?  I'm about to open a ticket with Microsoft and VMware.
