How to add Intellisense for VSCode

    Question

  • Plz if anyone know how to configure the intellisense for VScode Python environment. When I hit Ctrl + Space, it always loading, I think that might be VSCode does not support py by default.

Read some docs that all need me to install tsd via npm command , however npm is installed together with Node.JS as the package manager, which I did not install yet and I dont want to install.

So is anyone there can help me with following things:

#1, How to configure the intellisense for VScode without install nodejs and npm?

#2, If that is the only way to make VS code work? I saw python can also use Google App Engine

Thanks and have a good day :) And sorry for I was blocked for Google Search

  • Hi Jamles,

    Thank you for your post.

To maximize your Python productivity you may install Don Jayamanne’s excellent Python extension. This free plugin provides a host of useful features: Python-aware Intellisense, auto-completion,hover tooltips to view function and method signatures, linting.etc.
