  • Hi,

Download the appropriate SDK from here :-

    http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/details.aspx?FamilyID=06111a3a-a651-4745-88ef-3d48091a390b&displaylang=en

You should then be able to select a Windows Mobile 6 device to deploy application to.

    Hope this helps.

  • Your words are confusing. But here are some possibilities:

    1. If you have a WM 6.1 device already, then what you need to do is installing ActiveSync (for XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for Vista). After that, you will be able to connect your device to the desktop PC with the USB cable and test your mobile web application.

    2. If you don't have a WM6.1 device, then

2.1 First follow Paul's link and install WM6 SDK and what's necessary in the "System Requirements" segement.
2.2 Then, you need to install WM 6.1 emulator images
2.3 Next, connect a WM 6.1 emulator to the internet as shown in the following article:
Visual Studio 2005 Device Emulator and Internet Connectivity
2.4 Finally, use http://machineName/siteName to access and test your web application.

  • I must say I am a bit confused by your question.  An ASP.NET application runs on a server such as IIS.  To test you would either use an mobile emulator or a mobile device to run a browser and navigate to the page.  There is no need to copy software or "sync" a device with this type of application.

You are very close. Open IE from your emulator, and then enter the address (such as  http://machineName/siteName) of your website to start the testing.

UPDATE: See the following article for detailed steps:
